We had a lovely visit with my sister this past week. Megan graced us with her beautiful smile and babysitting skills for five short days. We miss her already...
I've also had the pleasure of receiving some visitors on our walks recently. It seems the warm weather brings all sorts out of hiding.
We ran into some little snakes...
Some big snakes...

And some gnarly lizards, too.

I'm not sure how folks stay alive (and unbitten) around here during the summer, but I'll continue to pray for the protection we've received so far. I nearly rolled over the rattlesnake pictured above with Noa in her stroller, but two cyclists just ahead of me pointed it out before I reached it. Thank God for other people!
On another, funnier, note - Noa has learned to make a face we call "Blue Steel". Don't ever challenge this kid to a staredown. She'll win. She always does... Megan captured "the look" on video, as well as a few other cute faces.
