Such a goofy girl - we love her antics. When she's well rested and in a good mood, she babbles at her toys and her food and pictures around the house. She dances for us and loves pointing to things she's learned. Most evenings she practices her funny faces over dinner while Josh and I crack up in our seats. When she isn't in a good mood, she perfects her squeal when she needs or wants something and it isn't coming fast enough (usually dinner). It's not even a squeal, really... I'm just not sure what to call this noise of hers. It is impatient, open-mouthed, tearless, emphatic, and ear-piercing. Scolding, re-directing, distracting, punishing, praising - nothing can stop this recent development in communication. Oh how I yearn for words...

As you can plainly see, the child's hair is out of control. Well, only out of control when she decides to pull out her barrette or ponytail, much to my annoyance but to her complete amusement.

On another note, I recently came across this photo of Little Girl, at around 8 or 9 months old. Haha! We forget sometimes how BIG she was as an infant! Certainly not a world-record breaker or anything... but look at that chub!!! Her neck, elbows, wrists, hips, and ankles all came together in rolls. Her height and weight followed the 90% curve of the pedi's chart for most of her first 12 months. Now it seems that all growth is starting to mellow, which is predictable.
Throughout all of her growing stages, our sweet girl has been absolutely beautiful to us. :)
