Regaining Health

We were sure to proclaim our misery, far and wide (subtlety is not our strength), these last three weeks as we fought against one of the longest-lasting illnesses that we've encountered yet. Now shudder, ye viruses all around... Shudder, as you face your defeat! The Mystery Virus is vanquished, the mucous migrated, the pain put aside. We are back to normal - HOORAY! Thank you to our family, who prayed and prayed and prayed... and who listened with patient ears to our constant coughing and complaining. Thank you to our friends, who sent us long-distance ((hugs)), yummy meals, and air-kisses to avoid keeping this bug in circulation. Thank you to my husband, who cleaned up toddler vomit so many times this month that I've lost count (but not once did I have to touch the stuff). Thank you to my daughter, who was content to wear the same outfit 10 times and play with empty tissue boxes while her Mommy and Daddy shuffled around the house debating the pros and cons of Vicks Vapo Rub. Speaking of which, I've got to give props to a few items that made our household a little less grumpy when we were all stuffy and achy at the same time...

1. The Nosefrida (for the child, of course. Although I'm tempted to invent an adult version.)
2. Kleenex w/ lotion (Vicks begins to sting the eyes after about a week)
3. Motts (no sugar added) Applesauce
4. Doctors (who have the ability to diagnose the cause of misery, i.e. "double ear infection")

Week 1.

Week 2.

Week 3.
Feeling better...

Week 4.
Healthy again and back to our usual mischief!

Glad to hear you're feeling better.
By the way, when did she stop being a baby and become a little girl?
