So here we are, still pregnant! Our due date was May 22 (last Sunday), and it came and went without much fanfare. Josh's mom is in town and the four of us took a drive to Eleven Mile for some mountain fresh air. What a lovely day!
I have had so many "false starts", with mild labor contractions that last for a few hours and then stop, that I'm nearly exhausted from anticipation. I hear that all of this teasing activity is common for 2nd+ time preggos, so I try not to worry about it. Our OB/midwife is not concerned, either, as long as we are both healthy and strong. Due dates are only estimates, the doctor's say, and should really include the caveat "give or take 2 weeks". Nonetheless, it can be a very effective torture technique!
To keep ourselves occupied this week, I'm thinking we may pack a picnic lunch and watch the Air Force graduation air show today. Thunderbirds will be flying in formation across the sky and it's always an exhilarating show when you can sit outside and watch. We may also visit the Zoo if the weather cooperates. My parents and sister will be coming to town on Saturday, so if Bryn isn't here by then, she'll have a big party waiting for her grand entrance! Haha.
