"In a recent survey, women were asked to rate their fear of birth before reading positive birth stories, and again three weeks after reading birth stories. Participants reported an average of 33% less fear after they read empowering birth stories."

I have had the privilege of working in an office filled with positive birth resources. From videos to books to training opportunities, I've enveloped myself in pregnancy and childbirth knowledge that has left me feeling empowered and awed at the same time. The beautiful mystery of fertility, conception, fetal development, and birth has revealed itself to be an intentional creation designed to inspire joy, courage, and faith.
Despite this exposure, my foundation is still shaken whenever I find myself in a crowd of disbelievers - people who have no faith in God's design and creation of the human body, and its ability to adapt, expand, grow, and heal. Reading the accounts of other women who have had positive experiences during pregnancy and childbirth renews my confidence and excitement for what's to come, every time.

From one "believer" to another:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE, JUST THE MINORITY! :)
:0) Thanks, Whitt. (and back at ya)
My friend just had her second baby "all natural" and she had her first that way too. God's design is perfect and somehow through the labors, joy comes in the morning :)
The process of birth can be incredible--surrounding your selves with those who believe in that and in YOU is immeasurable in helping your determination. Let us in the "minority" surround you!!
=) I tell people all the time... Just remember this is what your body was designed to do. There is nothing to be afraid of! Its actually a really cool experience if you understand what is happening...
