You gotta love the seasons. They're always changing! Everything has its place and time, and just when you think the present is too tough to handle, you're dealt a break and the season changes. Earlier this month, we lost our job with The Navigators and so now we join the ranks of the unemployed and begin our desperate search for a new purpose in this new place that is feeling more like home every day. God has been gracious to lead us through difficult seasons in the past, so that now we have no choice but to have hope for changes yet unseen.
This pause has given us so much opportunity for reflection, examination, and forgiveness. None of it comes easy, and none is ever complete. Nonetheless, we are grateful for the practice.
Right now, we are given one another to be mirrors of truth, with God's leading. But one day His promises will not merely be a distant image to gaze upon, but tangible reality to rejoice in...

We are urged to continue questioning, seeking, and wrestling with our limited understanding. We are placed in community so that each of us may offer different strengths to compliment each others' weaknesses. Each of us is presently given the desire to boldly explore God's promises...
His love for us is wondrous, imaginative, colorful, and alive. His forgiveness is so mysterious, we find ourselves examining it again and again...

Grace saves us. Even though we cannot see it yet, we still hope for it. And we long for the rest that will come...

So thank you for your continued prayers! I tried to lighten the mood with some fun pictures of our little lady (I'm cheesy - I know). She wakes up with new-found curiosity every morning, and amazes us with her constant stream of conversation. None of it is coherent, mind you... but it is entertaining all the same. She loves pointing to pictures on the wall, and is surprisingly adept at tossing a soccer ball. Flowers and water keep her attention far longer than any toy we've every bought, and she squeals with delight when her pal Mickey Mouse comes out to play. It's pretty hard to remain in any sort of bad mood with Noa around. ;-)

Came across your blog this morning, Mandi. So good to find you on here! But, we do know how exhausting and trying the job search phase can be. We are still in it ourselves. We will be praying for you, Josh and Noa! :)
