Ding Dong!

This was our first year to give Trick-or-Treating a try... It was going to be a chilly night so we didn't want to wait too long and be out past sunset and far from home. We started our walk around our block before dinner and, thankfully, found many neighbors at home, handing out goodies. It was quite funny to watch all of Noa's reactions to this strange tradition. The first person we met gave Noa three treats. Wow! She wasn't sure what to do with the shiny new "toys" in her bucket, but she loved the doggy that came out to play with her for a moment. The next house we visited handed her one candy with a big smile, and she promptly asked for more. When we said "no more", then she asked to "go inside?". We showed her how to say 'thank you' instead, and she walked away completely bewildered. By the end of our trek, though, I think she was getting the hang of it. She lost interest in the candies and started trying out different porch chairs instead.

The night before Halloween all three of us went to a costume party, Josh and I as SNL characters and Noa in her butterfly outfit (courtesy of Aunt Mandy).

You crack me up! Did you leave a little note and candy for the kids while who might come by while you were out? Love your SNL costumes!

Yes, Whittney! We put out the candy before we took off on our walk. Just about everything was taken, except the tootsie rolls. :)

Tootsie Rolls are LAME.

LOL. The tootsie rolls eventually went to charity. Hopefully somebody gives them love.
