So much to report!

Happy 1st Birthday, Noa!!!

It has been an eventful Spring/Summer and I need to catch you all up on the latest... Megan was in town visiting last month (you knew that already), and we accomplished some hiking, mountain driving, shopping, and strolling - all despite the drizzly weather that followed us around the whole week.

Then, just a week later, Josh's mom and step-father drove over from Ohio to bless us with their Ole and Sven jokes (Ok, and their hugs and cooking and electrical fixer-upper-knowhow). We showed them around town and saw lots of great things. Then we all celebrated Noa's FIRST BIRTHDAY! What a genuine joy to laugh and smile over an occasion so special as our first child's first year of life. A part of me is honestly surprised that my sanity lasted this long...

Next up will be Noa's one-year well-baby checkup and then a visit from some of my family in Dallas. We can't wait!!!

The Girls: Megan, Noa, Me

Practicing her gardening skills at Glen Eyrie.

Of all the things to see at the Garden of the Gods Visitor's Center, she finds the jewelry...

Always meeting new people - opportunities abound as she and Grandma take a stroll.

My little daredevil...

Her first taste of cake (or cupcake, in this case). No objections here!

Enjoying all the attention...

(Caught doing her Happy Dance)

Sitting outside Glen Eyrie with Grandma.

Communing with the buffalo statues.

And, of course, taking a ride.

One last picture I want to show you is that of the card I received for Mother's Day last month. Noa is a very frequent waker-upper (that's the technical term for her condition) and still winds up in our room at night so we can all get some sleep. The arrangement is a peaceful one for now, relatively speaking, but it takes alot of creativity and keen sense of humor to make it work. Josh provides both on a constant basis! So, needless to say, this card was perfect... (Notice how Josh scribbled our names on the corresponding feet?)

The inside of the card read:

"And I'm cool with that. Happy Mother's Day - from the other side of the bed"

Life is cuddly! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Love - Josh, Mandi, and Noa

1 already! Some days I agree - it's a miracle we've made it through the first year with our sanity intact!
Happy Birthday to a beautiful girl, just like her Momma!
