So this winter is treating us mildly, so far. No major snowstorms and cold (but not frigid!) temps that don't feel as cold when the sun is out! Josh is getting along well at work (always a blessing), and Noa is quickly growing out of clothes that just fit her a couple of months ago - crazy growth spurt! During her second year, it seemed that every time someone asked how old she was, the reaction I heard was "She's so small!". Now, whenever the topic comes up, without exception I hear "Wow, she's tall for her age!". Haha - why do we even bother to compare?!?! In a few months everything might be just the opposite!
There is this statue of a bear outside of town that we found last year and took a picture of Noa sitting on. We decided to take another and compare the differences. The fleece and pants that she was wearing in the first picture were both rolled up because they were a size too big, and she's wearing the same outfit in the recent picture. Notice, not only are there no rolls in the cuffs, but the pants are actually short on her! Oh, and did I mention that there is only 8 months difference in the pictures?
Another fun distraction for Noa and I this winter will come in the form of a happy little 4-month old boy. His parents/friends of ours were planning to hire a nanny for him but instead decided to have friends take their money in exchange for watching their sweet little one for a few months (so thoughtful of them!). So, three days a week, Noa and I hang out with our new friend and learn all about little babies. Noa is sweet and gentle, if not too hesitant still. The bravest she will get is to gently pet his head and whisper "It's okaaaaay, it's okaaaaaaay". This is just our first week, though, so I'm sure she'll venture closer.

Little bean seems to be doing well tucked away in his/her incubator. I'm feeling soft little pokes every so often, but this one doesn't seem to be as busy as Big Sister was. We we hopefully find out the gender around New Year's day, so stay tuned for the big reveal!!!

Oh how fun! Practice for big sister. The hesitation is because she knows the baby isn't related to her...she will be poking her sibling in the eyeball no more than 12 hours after his birth. (Do you like how I embed my gender prediction randomly in comments?) :)
Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!
I love the comparison on her growth :) She is so cute! Yes, agree that she will be loving him when he is born :)
I just realized that I forgot to "Reveal"!! Sorry, blog readers!
If you haven't heard from us or through the grapevine, the news is that Noa is going to have a baby sister! Yay for hand-me-downs, haha!
