Today (Thursday), is grocery day for Noa and Mommy. She does well as long as she feels helpful, so I make sure to give her things to do while we walk the isles. The employees at the store we go to know us well. The front greeters know Noa as the little girl who yells "Bye Bye!" as we enter. The self-checkout lady makes sure she gets a free balloon every time we see her. And several of the people working the deli know her as the "cheese girl" because she yells "Cheeeeese" every time we walk up to the counter. Of course, they have trained her like a Pavlovian dog by offering her a slice whenever we are there. Not that I mind... ;)
So, it goes without saying, Noa is a great little buddy at this age. She is no longer the baby, not yet the big girl. During the week she is Mommy's Helper, and on the weekends, she is Daddy's Daredevil. Wherever we go they manage to find trouble together. It's a good thing her partner-in-crime doubles as her knight in shining armor whenever she scrapes a knee or runs into a wall (don't ask...). I imagine the two of them will be able to relate to one another even better when Mommy has a newborn to turn her attention to. And only a couple of months to go before that happens - we are all really looking forward to meeting this new little one. She is sure to have a wonderful life... with a big sister like Noa around! :)

Love it all!...Love the way you paint such a picture in my mind when you write about your grocery experience and the dare devil/knight in shining armor combo and anything else you narrate :) You are an excellent writer. I love Noa's :wild hair" because I had it too when I was little :) So cute to see my big brother being a proud Daddy! Love you all...still looking forward to a "unique" name for the new baby sis...How to you match Noa in uniqueness?? :)
Mandy, thanks again! I love seeing your comments and hearing that you enjoy our silliness. :) We love you and can't wait to see you again.
I really look forward to your updated blog. Your story telling is very uplifting and gives us the enjoyment of following your activities. Plus the pics are great! You really have a talent when it comes to writing. I first became aware of your gift on your trip to India. Nancy and I both think you should write a book! We love you...Dad & Nancy
