Getting Along: 3 weeks old

Our life these past few weeks... in photos...

Bryn sleeps alot (not that we're complaining).

(sic) Noa Cate turns 3!

Enjoying her gifts so much, she only takes one bite of her birthday cake.

On this day, I put makeup on and ventured out into the world (Ok, it was for a well-baby visit).

Our talented friend, Emily Hill, came over to take some newborn photos. Isn't she great!?!?

The days have gone by fast (the nights, not so much), and I'm excited to see the 1-month mark just around the corner. It's wonderful to notice physical growth, developmental changes, and just plain progress. I must admit, this stage is most difficult for me, due to a strong reliance on everyday conveniences (ie, free hands) and creature comforts (ie, rest). But I must also admit that I would have lost my mind long ago if not for my family who came to visit us, our friends who have been bringing us meals, and most of all Josh who has emptied himself daily to keep our ship afloat.

More to come...

She is so pretty! What would we do without engaged and sacrificial husbands?! Hang in there and when you're really tired and feel like you might absolutely explode (wait, is that just me?) just SMELL HER HEAD. :) Be encouraged!

Whittney, that's good advice! Haha - this one doesn't seem to mind me nibbling her ears or snacking on her neck rolls, either. Definitely a good distraction from sleepless misery. ;)
